DTDC INTRODUCES E-FULFILLMENT CENTERS

DTDC has undergone a transformation drive with the launch of the e-fulfillment centers. These centers are meant to cater to a wide variety of organizations, which include SMEs and are currently operational in 7 locations: Noida, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The service capability makes them able to handle businesses which have up to 500,000 outgoing deliveries per day, to 750,000 incoming SKUs. The part which shall strike a chord with SME’s specially, as these services are available at lower operational costs.

The E-fulfillment services aim at handling cargo from international networks like Lazda, Zalora, Rakuten, apart from Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shoclues, and Jabong. The technology platform is fully integrated with all the major market place operators as well as logistic service providers. The e-fulfillment solutions also provide pick up service from vendors, QC, serialization, put away, real time inventory management, order management, pick, pack, ship services. The organization manages RTO, RTV, invoicing, payment reconciliation, cataloging and host of other value added services. DTDC aims to bring offline consumers online with their value added services such as registration at marketplaces, packaging solutions, multiple market place integration etc.

The launch of the e-fulfillment services happened at the ‘Last Mile Fulfillment India Conclave’ which had the theme of ‘Accelerating India’s e-commerce through Fulfillment.’ The event mainly discussed the growing demand for logistics services amongst younger consumers of e-commerce portals, who need a delivery system which is safe, economical, and have short delivery times included. The backbone of e-commerce services relies on these variables for long term growth, as with other value additions like negligible or no delivery prices, traceability solutions, and also seamless reverse logistics.
