Kandla Port Trust (KPT) has entered into a strategic partnership MoU with the Department of Industries, government of Gujarat, for developing the smart industrial port city. It was done at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017 here, in the august presence of Mr Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr Nitin Patel, Deputy Chief Minister and Mr K. Kailashnathan, Chief Principal Secretary to the CM.
The MoU envisages that the concerned departments and agencies of the Gujarat government would facilitate KPT in obtaining clearances, approvals, etc. as per extant policies. The agreement was signed by Mr Ravi Parmar, IAS, Chairman, on behalf of Kandla Port Trust, and Ms Mamta Varma, Industries Commissioner, government of Gujarat.
