In just the first three months of the year, Shanghai port, the world’s biggest container port, has handled 10.42 million TEUs, up seven per cent over the corresponding period of 2018.
The throughput in March 2019 was 3.81 million TEUs, up 12.4 per cent year-on-year and a whopping 33.2 per cent more compared to the 2.86 million TEUs handled in February 2019, reports said.
