DP World, the leading provider of smart supply chain solutions, invests in infrastructure enhancement at its Mundra Terminal in Gujarat, improving efficiency and reliability, reiterating its commitment to modernise the Port and Logistics sector in the country.
DP World has added two new state-of-the-art Super-Post Panamax Quay Cranes to its existing fleet highlighting Mundra terminal’s ability to handle increasingly larger container vessels with faster turnaround. These super-post-Panamax cranes equipped with the latest technology, have an outreach of 22 containers and twin lifts making handling ultra-large vessels easier, creating more capacity, and thus serving more sophisticated customer needs.
The cranes have built-in Remote Crane Management System (RCMS) that aids advanced planning for maintenance and increase the availability and reliability of the equipment, thereby reducing downtime and enhancing overall terminal efficiency.
