Adani Mundra Airport has launched its first scheduled flight operations, with Star Air starting services that connect Mundra to Mumbai and Goa and six other cities, significantly strengthening regional air connectivity in the Kutch region. The new routes link Mundra with Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded, creating faster travel options for business, trade, logistics and tourism.
The airport has been developed with a 1,900‑meter runway capable of handling a range of passenger and cargo aircraft and a terminal equipped with parking areas, multiple check‑in counters, passenger lounges and a food court. Accessibility features such as wheelchair support and dedicated drop‑off zones are also part of the design, aimed at improving the passenger experience for both business and leisure travelers.
Adani Group says the expanded air connectivity will strengthen Mundra’s position as an integrated multimodal logistics and business hub anchored by Mundra Port and Mundra SEZ. The launch of scheduled flights is expected to support trade and industrial growth in Kutch by improving connectivity to major commercial centers and enhancing integration with domestic and global supply chains.
The development also fits into Adani Group’s broader airport portfolio, which includes operations at Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru and Guwahati airports. By combining port, SEZ and airport infrastructure at Mundra, the group aims to create strong synergies between its maritime and aviation businesses and position Mundra as a key gateway for cargo and passenger movement on India’s western coast.
