Adani Ports has launched a new weekly fixed rail service connecting its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Patli in the NCR region with Pipavav Port on India’s west coast, offering exporters and importers a dedicated, scheduled connection to the gateway. The service is positioned to simplify planning for shippers, reduce transit-time uncertainty and provide a more predictable evacuation and aggregation option for containerised cargo moving between north India and Pipavav.
Marketed as a “weekly fixed rail” product, the new link is aimed at customers looking for end-to-end visibility and reliable departure windows rather than ad hoc train movements. By integrating ICD Patli more tightly with Pipavav, Adani is targeting time-sensitive EXIM cargo, enabling smoother coordination with vessel cut-offs and potentially lowering overall logistics costs for NCR-based manufacturers and traders.
