Panda has been steering CONCOR’s Projects and Services division as Director since December 2022. Under his leadership, the company focused on key infrastructure initiatives, including the development of Multi-Modal Logistics Parks and procurement of new rolling stock and handling equipment, alongside several initiatives aimed at modernising CONCOR’s operations and expanding its market reach.
What is Panda’s broader professional experience?
Before joining CONCOR, Panda served as Executive Director for Mechanical Engineering and Project Planning & Development at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. He has also held several senior positions within Indian Railways, including Director for Production Units and Efficiency & Research at the Railway Board, and Chief Workshop Manager at East Coast Railway, Mancheswar, in addition to serving in various capacities under South Eastern Railway. He has been recognised twice with the Railway Minister’s National Award for Outstanding Service.
What is the tenure and approval process for this appointment?
The appointment was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board in April 2026 and approved by the Ministry of Railways through an order dated June 29, 2026. Panda’s tenure will run from the date he assumes charge, on or after August 1, 2026, until his superannuation on August 31, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. As required under SEBI regulations, it was confirmed that Panda has not been debarred by any regulatory authority from holding the office of Director.
