Allcargo Group flags off Allcargo Digital Literacy Mission

The initiative aims at bridging digital divide among children and youth to cover schools and colleges across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat

Allcargo Group, an India-born, global logistics conglomerate has embarked on ‘Allcargo Digital Literacy Mission’ under the aegis of its digital literacy program through which it will equip digital literacy labs with computers (laptops / desktops) across schools and colleges in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat. The mission is conceived with the objective of developing digital literacy and future skills among students in rural and urban areas. The devices that were made available at the digital literacy lab were initially used by the group’s employees and were refurbished prior to donation.

The initiative was launched on 17th February 2023 at Veer Wajekar College in Phunde, ZP School in Daurnagar and ZP School in Koproli in the presence of Mr. Lalitendu Mohanty, Facility head Allcargo JNPT CFS, Shri. Bhausaheb Andhare, Tahsildar Uran, BEO Mrs. Priyanka Patil, Principal, Funde College, Dr. Pawar, Dr. Nilratan Shende, GM CSR, Allcargo Logistics, Mr Chandrakant Patil, Mr. Ambadas Yadav and school headmasters. Over 300 students will benefit this year from schools and colleges across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat. Furthermore, it will be strengthened every year to reiterate the company’s commitment towards literacy and narrowing the digital divide.

At Allcargo Group, making a difference especially in education is an important area of focus.   Digital inclusivity has been a cornerstone for the company as it is at the forefront of digitalisation and is now extending this vision to take steps towards the national cause of digital literacy. The aim is to bring about a holistic development of communities and will be supporting the urban and rural areas to provide interventions around digital education and skill development.
