In line with their vision to give an impetus to sports in India Allcargo Logistics and Gati-KWE are co-sponsors for the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) – one of the world’s leading corporate golf events and the biggest one in India.

The tournament that kick-started in Mumbai on Saturday, 20th November 2021, at the Willingdon Sports Club saw more than 85 players tee-off in style at 8:00 a.m. Being the first corporate sports event to be held there after a gap of almost two years due to the lockdown, there was great excitement among the players.

The four winners of the Mumbai leg who will now play at the national finals event were Khushaal Thackersey, Executive Director, Hindoostan Mills Ltd.; Gurpal Sachdev, Partner, Dee Kay Gears; Karl Nazir, Founder, Studio LIV; and Anil Advani, Vice President, GMM Pfaudler. Additionally, Nikunj Dhanuka, CEO, IG Petrochemicals Ltd., won the ‘Closest to pin on second hole’ contest that was held at the 11th hole sponsored by Allcargo Logistics and Gati-KWE.

We believe that sports bring people together like nothing else can and are very happy to co-sponsor the World Corporate Golf Challenge that creates opportunities to connect, interact and build bonds that go beyond business,” says Adarsh Hegde, Joint Managing Director, Allcargo Logistics and Managing Director, Gati-KWE.

After similar tournaments in Bangalore (28th November 2021), Pune (4th December 2021) and Delhi NCR (11th December 2021), a national finals event will be played in Delhi NCR (12th December 2021) followed by a global final in Portugal, in the summer of 2022.

As firm believers in the transformative power of sports, Allcargo Logistics and Gati-KWE continue their commitment to encouraging sports not just by partnering events but even through their CSR arm, Avashya Foundation, which supports NGOs and agencies that identify and nurture budding sports talent in India.
