Allcargo Logistics has unveiled a major restructuring and network expansion strategy to power India’s booming e-commerce and quick-commerce sectors, processing over 10 million packages monthly with 25-30% festive spikes.

The initiative integrates sorting, fulfilment, consolidation, cross-docking, value-added services, and secondary transportation across a multi-city footprint spanning 6-9 metros plus Tier 2/3 markets. Key upgrades include tripling transshipment centres to 71, the new Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network covering 100% of PIN codes (mapped from 21,000 to 32,000+), and doubling direct serviceable PINs to 10,000+ via distribution centres.

Technology like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) drives inventory visibility, route optimisation, and vehicle efficiency to meet ultra-fast delivery demands. “Logistics must be the reliable backbone as e-commerce penetrates deeper markets,” said Ketan Kulkarni, MD & CEO, highlighting disciplined mid-mile execution and compliance.

Allcargo handles 95% of a major European furniture brand’s logistics in hubs like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Gujarat, plus custom B2C solutions for a leading Indian hypermarket chain. This positions the firm to capture rising last-mile volumes amid consumption shifts.
