Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that a bullet train connecting Hyderabad, Chennai, Amravati, and Bengaluru will be launched soon. Speaking at the India Food Manufacturing Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam on Friday, CM Naidu said a survey for the project is currently underway.

“Very soon, the bullet train will come to South India. It will connect Hyderabad, Chennai, Amravati, and Bengaluru—four cities with a combined population of over five crores, forming one of the largest market clusters in the world. This project is going to happen, and when it does, you will witness the largest stakes,” he said.

In a post on X, CM Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s growing prominence in India’s food processing sector: “With over Rs 9,000 crore in new investments and a 9% contribution to national output, we invite global innovators and investors to grow with AP as we position the state as India’s food processing hub.”

Meanwhile, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (Bullet Train) corridor is making rapid progress. Indian Railways recently announced on X that the stations along the corridor in Gujarat are nearing completion. “With modern design, cultural identity, seamless connectivity, and eco-friendly features, these stations will redefine passenger comfort and set new benchmarks in travel,” the post said.

Earlier, on August 6, the Ministry of Railways reported the completion of the Vishwamitri River bridge in Vadodara, the seventeenth of 21 planned river bridges in Gujarat for the project.
