Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has cleared the proposal to establish the Andhra Pradesh Logistics Infrastructure Corporation (AP-LinC), a dedicated body that will coordinate and upgrade logistics systems across the state.
According to an official release, AP-LinC will function as the state’s nodal agency for planning and strengthening logistics infrastructure, with a key objective of reducing logistics costs. The corporation will bring greater integration across ports, airports, road networks, inland waterways, and cold-chain facilities, ensuring smoother movement of goods and enhanced connectivity.
Once a managing director is appointed, the corporation will begin operations as a government holding company and will focus on attracting large-scale investments into the logistics sector, the Chief Minister said.
AP-LinC will also be responsible for monitoring and improving logistics infrastructure across the state. As part of the initiative, district-level cells will be formed to promote logistics development at the grassroots, particularly in underserved and remote regions.
