APM Terminals Poti handled 54,527 TEU in January 2026, marking a 15% year-on-year increase from 47,265 TEU in January 2025 and well above the 42,588 TEU moved in January 2024. The growth reflects rising containerised trade through Georgia’s main Black Sea gateway, underpinned by its role on the Middle Corridor linking Europe with the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The terminal also processed 1,082 car containers during the month, maintaining its strong position in regional vehicle logistics. Recent performance builds on a solid 2025, when APM Terminals Poti reported a 16% increase in container throughput to 481,473 TEU over the first nine months, alongside double-digit growth in general cargo and ferry traffic. The latest numbers suggest that this momentum is carrying into 2026, reinforcing Poti’s status as a key hub for diversified cargo flows in the Black Sea.
