Capt PVK Mohan of Seaways Group conferred “Lifetime Achievement Award”

The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) felicitated Capt PVK Mohan, Managing Director of Seaways Group, and conferred upon him the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award.”

This award was given to recognize the outstanding contributions of Capt Mohan who for over five decades, had worked tirelessly to promote the shipping and logistics industry, and Indian shipping. He has also held leadership positions as President of The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI), The International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) and The International FORCE Group (Freight Organization of Related Cargo Experts).

In a packed venue at the International Conference on Shipping & Logistics held at HICC, Novotel, Hyderabad on 22nd March 2024, the organizers lauded Capt Mohan as a giant in the industry.

Capt Mohan, while receiving the award said, “I am truly humbled and honoured to be receiving this award from an industry association that is 107 years old. I owe this achievement to the support of my family, friends, well-wishers, and colleagues. I will continue contributing as much as I can to the shipping and logistics industry which has given me so much over the years.”

Speaking on the occasion, Capt Vivek S Anand, Founder & Chairman, CVSA & Associates said, “Capt Mohan’s contribution to the industry is humungous and he is a living legend in the industry. He is not only a Master Mariner, but an entrepreneur and a visionary. He was instrumental in bringing in great changes to the archaic laws governing the Merchant navy and EXIM trade. Capt Mohan is the only Master Mariner to have held the coveted position as Chairman of the National Shipping Board for six years.”
