About 23,020 TEUs were handled at the Port of Lisbon’s YILPORT Liscont terminal in April 2025, a 35% increase over the same month in 2024. The increase was even more noticeable between March and April of 2025, rising 42% from 16,212 TEUs to 23,020 TEUs. A total of 75,493 TEUs were processed by YILPORT Liscont in the first four months of 2025, which represents a roughly 25% increase over the same time the year before.

52 percent of this total amount came from exports, while 48 percent came from imports. A substantial investment in infrastructure, together with a number of operational and structural elements, have contributed to this successful performance. The terminal now features cutting-edge technology and contemporary handling equipment thanks to this investment.

With direct connections to important global hubs and critical markets in South America, Africa, and the Mediterranean, the terminal presently enjoys the advantages of a network of nine regular services. YILPORT Liscont is now going through an expansion phase in order to keep up with its growth and improve its operational capabilities.

Old structures are being demolished as part of ongoing construction to greatly expand the capacity for cargo management and storage. A new operations facility is being built concurrently. The new infrastructure will be located in a space that was formerly a parking lot for large vehicles and is currently undergoing renovations to guarantee better organization, operation, and future capacity. This extension project is expected to be finished in 2026. Yilport Latam stated last summer that a new container yard in Puerto Bolívar, Ecuador, called Container Berth 6 had been inaugurated.
