The CMA CGM Foundation and Salaam Baalak Trust have renewed their partnership in 2025 to launch an additional educational childcare center for children living in areas inhabited by the large street communities across Mumbai Metropolitan Region. With the opening of this new facility, the CMA CGM Foundation has now supported the establishment of five childcare centersin collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust, collectively reaching over 800 marginalized children between the ages of 4 and 18. These centers offer comprehensive support—including access to basic, formal, and non-formal education, extracurricular activities, nutrition, and childcare services—designed to help children thrive.
Since 2024, the Foundation has been supporting four Salaam Baalak Trust centers located in Ambujvadi Malvani, Kannamwar Nagar Vikhroli, Ganpat Patil Nagar Dahisar, and Turbhe. These centers benefit approximately 650 children each year. With the renewed partnership and the opening of a fifth center, 200 children will gain access to quality education and a healthier lifestyle annually, empowering them to enroll in and succeed within formal education systems.
Monthly activities will give CMA CGM Group staff members the opportunity to volunteer and engage with the children. In addition, a variety of health camps and educational tours will be organized to promote the children’s well-being and track improvements in their overall health and development.
