In a milestone development for India’s logistics sector and international trade ecosystem, the Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has successfully commenced its first-ever export movement using containers owned by the company. The inaugural shipment, which set out on 19 September 2025 from CONCOR’s flagship Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Whitefield in Bengaluru, is bound for Jebel Ali, UAE, via the Chennai Port.

The initiative marks an important step in strengthening India’s multimodal logistics framework and creating greater efficiency in global supply chains. With this move, CONCOR is not only broadening its service portfolio but also demonstrating its ability to integrate end-to-end solutions for exporters, particularly from India’s southern industrial hubs.
