Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has marked a major milestone in its journey toward sustainable and integrated logistics with the launch of the first export shipment from its Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Kadakola, Mysuru.
The inaugural consignment, transported in a CONCOR-owned container, is being routed through the company’s Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Tondiarpet (TNPM), Chennai, en route to the Maldives. The flag-off ceremony, held on November 3, 2025, was led by CONCOR’s Chairman and Managing Director in the presence of Shri Prabhas Dansana, Principal Executive Director (TT) of the Railway Board, and senior members of CONCOR’s leadership team.
This development represents a significant boost to CONCOR’s international logistics network, strengthening trade linkages between southern India and global markets.
Highlighting CONCOR’s focus on environmental responsibility, the first leg of the shipment was carried using a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vehicle — part of the company’s broader initiative to promote cleaner, greener logistics solutions.
Commenting on the occasion, CONCOR’s CMD stated, “This milestone reflects our commitment to building efficient, multimodal, and sustainable logistics corridors that seamlessly connect India’s manufacturing clusters with global trade routes. The Kadakola MMLP is set to emerge as a vital export gateway for southern India.”
With this achievement, CONCOR continues to reinforce its leadership in the logistics sector by combining multimodal connectivity, technological innovation, and eco-friendly transport to enhance India’s trade efficiency and global competitiveness.
