Exporters of agricultural and processed food products could get stronger logistics support following a new collaboration between Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in New Delhi on September 17 to create a collaborative framework for strengthening the export cold chain ecosystem.

The partnership will focus on developing more efficient logistics solutions for the movement of agricultural and processed food products, where cold-chain capabilities are an important part of export logistics.

CONCOR said it appreciates APEDA’s trust in its cold-chain logistics services. APEDA is a statutory authority established under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1985, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

What the MoU covers:

  • Cold-chain infrastructure: Strengthening the ecosystem supporting temperature-sensitive exports
  • Export logistics: Promoting efficient logistics solutions for agricultural and processed food products
  • Institutional collaboration: Creating a framework for CONCOR and APEDA to work together on export logistics requirements

The agreement marks a new collaboration between the two organisations aimed at supporting the logistics ecosystem for India’s agricultural and processed food exports.
