The stretch spanning Dadri, Greater Noida and Jewar is rapidly evolving into one of North India’s most strategically important logistics clusters, driven by a combination of large-scale infrastructure projects and multimodal connectivity.

At the centre of this transformation is the upcoming multi-modal logistics hub (MMLH) at Dadri, supported by the cargo infrastructure being developed at Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar and a network of new logistics parks and industrial townships taking shape across the region. Collectively, these developments—valued at ₹5,881 crore—are creating a unique logistics triangle linking rail, road and air transport, a configuration officials believe could reorient freight movement across western Uttar Pradesh and beyond.

The MMLH project is being implemented in three phases under a public–private partnership model, following a design–build–finance–operate–transfer framework. The dedicated project SPV, DMIC Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited (DMIC IITGNL), has already issued a global tender to attract private partners.

Spread across 311 hectares, the Dadri hub is envisioned as a high-capacity freight complex capable of handling 1.44 million TEUs of containerised cargo and nearly 7.9 million tonnes of bulk commodities annually once operational. The facility will integrate state-of-the-art warehouses, cold chain systems, bonded storage, container maintenance services, packaging and labelling units, along with office spaces for logistics companies—consolidating key supply chain functions within a single campus.

A technical and feasibility study conducted for the hub, one of the flagship projects under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), underscores the strategic advantage of its location. Situated at the intersection of the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, the site provides seamless connectivity for double-stack container movement and heavy-axle freight trains across the national freight network.

With aviation, rail and surface transport assets converging in one zone, the Dadri–Greater Noida–Jewar belt is positioned to become a major freight gateway, unlocking new opportunities for trade, manufacturing and logistics-led investment across North India.
