IRS International, a Daikin-owned company headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, has established a new Daikin reefer parts supply centre in Houston, Texas, USA.

The new centre – IRS Americas LLC – will serve both North and South America, and will take over Daikin reefer parts supply from Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing L.P (DCTM), thereby assuming overall responsibility for the key Americas region. Existing satellite Daikin reefer parts supply centres in Miami and Panama will continue to operate under the management of the new IRSI Americas operation, as will the outsourcing warehouse in Uruguay.

The Houston Operation will be led by Amber McCabe, who previously worked on the IRSI cargo care team based at Victoria International Container Terminal, one of the world’s first fully automated ports.  Having held responsibility for managing reefer containers for export and import, temperature control checks and overall cargo care, Amber’s tenure at Victoria International Container Terminal has given her deep understanding of the importance of Daikin reefer parts throughout the entire end-to-end reefer operation, from PTI through to live cargo operations and repairs.

Amber will ensure a seamless operational transition from DCTM to IRS Americas LLC, whilst also focusing on maintaining excellent service standards.

Located at all major ports around Australia and New Zealand, IRS International provides a robust reefer service and parts network in Oceania.  They have already established Daikin reefer parts supply centres in strategic maritime logistics locations including Rotterdam (Europe), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Cape Town (South Africa), as well as Melbourne (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand).

“As we delve into an era where reefers and technology converge, the IRSI team remains steadfast in our commitment to providing Daikin customers with efficient and responsive reefer parts supply”, commented Peter Labbad, Managing Director of IRS International. “We are attuned to our customers, and are wholeheartedly dedicated to not just meeting, but exceeding, their expectations”.

“The IRS Americas LLC team is focused on ensuring we deliver fast, reliable and comprehensive service in the Americas region, and we are proud to serve Daikin Reefer’s extensive network of dealers, partners and customers” added Amber.
