DFCCIL records highest-ever freight interchange of 927 trains

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has recorded its highest-ever freight interchange with Indian Railways on the Dedicated Freight Corridor network on September 13.

In a social media post on X on Thursday, the railway PSU said it recorded a highest-ever freight interchange of 927 trains, along with three loaded empties (LEs) interchanged.

The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) accounted for 504 trains, while the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) recorded 423 trains during the day.

The latest figure surpassed the previous highest interchange of 908 trains and nine LEs recorded on September 11.

The record interchange highlights the increasing operational scale and capacity utilisation of the Dedicated Freight Corridor network, along with improvements in freight movement efficiency between DFCCIL and Indian Railways.

Adani Logistics moves 180 export containers from Rajasthan to Vietnam

Adani Logistics has successfully transported 180 export containers across two full-rake block trains from Inland Container Depot (ICD) Kishangarh in Rajasthan to Mundra Port, strengthening rail connectivity between the state’s manufacturing clusters and international markets.

The export containers were moved by rail to Mundra Port for onward shipment to Haiphong, Vietnam.

The movement highlights the role of integrated rail and port connectivity in facilitating efficient cargo movement from inland production centres to global destinations. By linking ICD Kishangarh with Mundra Port, the operation supports export logistics for businesses in Rajasthan and provides a rail-connected route to international shipping services.

The successful movement of two full-rake export block trains reflects the importance of coordinated inland and port logistics in supporting India’s export supply chain.
