DP World’s International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) in Cochin celebrated the arrival of four cutting-edge Electric RTG Cranes, marking a pivotal step in their expansion and sustainability goals. These E-RTGs align with DP World’s ambitious target of achieving a 28% CO2 reduction by 2030. The anticipated arrival of two state-of-the-art STS (Ship-to-Shore) Mega Max cranes in December 2023 further underscores their commitment to capacity enhancement and sustainability.

CEO Praveen Thomas Joseph expressed their dedication to operational excellence and customer service, emphasising the substantial reduction in the carbon footprint through E-RTGs. ICTT’s extensive service network connects more than 12 ports on both coasts of India, fostering direct links to the Middle East, Far East, Europe, and the Mediterranean. It stands as the largest Transshipment terminal in South and East India, handling over 50% of cargo on direct/mainline services. This milestone enhances ICTT’s position as a preferred gateway for South India and a prominent transshipment terminal for the entire nation.
