The logistics master plans for the entire state and eight main cities are almost finished. According to state industries minister Balvantsinh Rajput, once these plans are completed, they will assist in identifying and addressing the transportation needs of industries throughout Gujarat.

The minister examined a number of logistics and infrastructure planning projects carried out by Gandhinagar’s Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB). Rajput pointed out that the Project Monitoring Group method was used to evaluate important infrastructure projects being carried out by central government agencies that totalled more over Rs 500 crore. In this structure, GIDB serves as the state government’s point of contact to guarantee that projects are carried out on schedule.

The minister directed GIDB officials to expedite the completion of city logistics master plans for the municipal corporations of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, and Junagadh. He also instructed them to develop a Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) database.

The minister emphasized the need to improve Gujarat’s performance in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) survey and urged officials to continue their efforts in this direction.
