Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer is fast-tracking its final assembly line (FAL) for E175 regional jets in partnership with Adani Defence & Aerospace, aiming for production readiness by 2028 if 200 firm orders materialize this year.

CEO Francisco Gomes Neto projects demand for at least 500 regional aircraft over 20 years, fueled by India’s aviation boom, UDAN scheme, and expanding airports, positioning the E175 (up to 88 seats) for new routes and connectivity.

The MoU focuses on the local manufacturing ecosystem including MRO, pilot training, and supply chains, leveraging recent duty exemptions on aviation components to align with Make in India and regional transport goals.

Embraer eyes a completion center as an interim step if full FAL awaits larger commitments, enhancing logistics for tier-2/3 city air cargo alongside passenger growth.
