ESSEC Business School students from France visit JNPT

With a view to understand the port structure and operations, a team of 41 students from ESSEC Business School from France visited JNPT and interacted with the senior management of the port.

Welcoming the students, Shri Neeraj Bansal, Chairman-in-charge JNPT shared detailed outline of the Govt. of India’s Sagarmala initiative which is focused on harnessing India’s vast coastal line for economic growth of the country. He highlighted JNPT’s contribution towards it and the ‘ease of doing business’ measures which has not only made the Port customer-friendly but improved the overall efficiency of the port making it at par with the global benchmark.

JNPT is going beyond the traditional role of Ports and is fully committed to create more value for the trade, under the same vision, JNPT is setting up dry ports in Wardha, Jalna, Sangli and Nashik in Maharashtra was shared by Shri Bansal who said that these dry ports will fuel economic growth in the region and also give a boost to foreign trade.
Prof. N. RaviChandran from IIM-Ahmedabad who coordinated this visit expressed appreciation on behalf of ESSEC Business school towards JNPT for sharing the experience with the students.
