FedEx Express (FedEx), a global leader in express transportation, has boosted its Asia Pacific (APAC)–Europe network capacity by adding five new weekly flights to its European hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The move enhances connectivity between the two regions, ensuring faster, more dependable service for businesses gearing up for the year-end festive season.
The new services will operate from two major FedEx hubs in China—three flights from the FedEx APAC Hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and two from the FedEx Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub. All five routes will be served by Boeing 777 freighters, directly linking to Paris. With this expansion, FedEx strengthens its average daily capacity on one of the world’s busiest trade corridors, enabling companies across Asia to better serve growing demand in e-commerce, manufacturing, technology, and retail sectors.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Europe–Asia air freight market has logged 30 consecutive months of volume growth, with a 13% year-on-year increase in August 2025. The European Union remains the top import destination for over 100 nations, while APAC economies are among its fastest-growing suppliers — signaling continued trade momentum.
“The Asia–Europe corridor is among the fastest-growing trade lanes globally,” said Salil Chari, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience, Asia Pacific, FedEx. “Our latest customer survey revealed that more than 20% of Asian businesses plan to expand their trade with Europe within the next year. By strengthening our air network, we’re helping our customers adapt to evolving market dynamics, seize new growth opportunities, and solidify their place in global commerce.”
Following this enhancement, FedEx now operates 26 weekly flights between APAC and Europe, enabling express deliveries to key European cities in as little as 48 hours. The company has also recently expanded routes from northern Vietnam to Europe, further enhancing regional trade access.
With its robust European network — including hubs in Paris, Cologne, and Liège, and a new global air transit facility in Istanbul — FedEx continues to provide businesses with the agility, reliability, and speed needed to meet peak-season demand, streamline delivery times, and build resilient supply chains. The latest expansion reaffirms FedEx’s long-term commitment to empowering global trade and supporting the growth ambitions of businesses across the Asia Pacific region.
