The Goa cabinet has approved the State Logistics and Warehousing Incentives Scheme, 2025, aimed at positioning the state as a logistics hub by ensuring smoother industrial operations, cost-efficient transport, and faster delivery of goods.
The three-year scheme offers fiscal incentives, including:
- Skill development subsidy: ₹5,000 per Goan worker (up to 1,000 workers per year).
- Capital investment support: 10–15% reimbursement of eligible fixed capital investment, capped at ₹50 lakh per unit.
- Interest subsidy: 50% subsidy for 3–5 years, up to ₹25 lakh annually.
Eligibility requires at least 60% Goan employment for full benefits, while units with 40–60% Goan employment qualify for partial benefits.
The initiative builds on the Goa Logistics and Warehousing Policy, 2023, aligning with PM GatiShakti and the National Logistics Policy. Drafted through stakeholder consultations and departmental reviews, the scheme seeks to drive infrastructure creation, skill development, and private sector participation.
