The 9th edition of Odyssey Mumbai 2025, hosted by GoComet at Hotel Sahara Star on November 13, concluded with dynamic discussions on how technology and intelligence are transforming global supply chains. The event brought together senior leaders from India’s top enterprises for an evening of insights and collaboration on the theme, “The Future of Supply Chains: From Automation to Autonomous.”
The evening began with an address by Chitransh Sahai, Co-founder & CEO, GoComet, who reflected on the company’s journey and its vision for an autonomous, AI-driven logistics future. He spoke about GoComet’s resilience during the pandemic that shaped its purpose to build technology that empowers people and creates supply chains that think, adapt, and act with intelligence.
In an engaging fireside chat, Chandrakant Kadam, Vice President and Head – International Logistics, Mahindra, spoke about Mahindra’s digital transformation and the way automation is powering its global logistics evolution. He shared that the company’s focus is to create a connected and intelligent logistics network across continents. “The biggest shift for us has been mindset. We realized early that manual processes will not work; we have to move to new systems and ways of working. Once that change began, people started seeing the value of digitization in every part of our supply chain,” he said, highlighting how culture, collaboration, and agility continue to drive Mahindra’s leadership in logistics innovation.
Delivering the keynote, Amritendu Mukherjee, Head of Global Logistics at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, shared insights on the way DRL is building a digital, data-led logistics ecosystem. “We were suddenly forced into that era where traditional tools and mechanisms did not work. There were too many changes, too many versions. We understood the hard way that visibility and agility were no longer optional — they were business-critical,” he said, underscoring how DRL’s logistics digitization is rooted in both necessity and foresight.
A power-packed panel featuring Deepak Kankekar, Head – Domestic & International Trade, Raychem RPG, Avadhut Parab, Chief Information Officer, Waaree Energies, and Khatib Rehman, Senior Director – Supply Chain, Yokohama-OHT, explored the role of Agentic AI in reshaping decision-making and resilience across logistics. “With GoComet, we moved from waiting for updates to acting on live insights — visibility became our biggest strength,” noted Khatib Rehman. Avadhut Parab added, “Before AI can take root, organizations must align mindset, skillset, and leadership — only then can technology deliver impact.” Deepak Kankekar summed it up: “For automation to succeed, you need people, process, and data to move together — if any one fails, nothing works.”
The event concluded with an exclusive product demonstration led by Chitransh Sahai and Prasad Alurkar, Head of Operations, unveiling GoComet’s Agentic AI platform and Incidents Lens. “The intelligence and quality of AI agents doesn’t depend on whether you’re using Gemini or ChatGPT—it actually depends on the metadata, how well you stitch two disparate data points together for your specific business,” said Sahai. The live demo showcased AI agents like Monk (OTIF analyzer) and Jarvis (interactive reporting), alongside Incidents Lens, which monitors global disruptions in real-time and automatically identifies impacted shipments. “We’ve moved beyond information symmetry to building systems where AI agents work 24/7 with your data, automatically generating insights. It’s not about replacing people—it’s about giving supply chain teams an intelligent assistant that never sleeps,” added Alurkar.
Now in its ninth edition, Odyssey has become a key platform for India’s logistics community to exchange ideas and co-create the future of global supply chains. The 2025 edition reaffirmed the industry’s belief that the next leap in logistics will not just be powered by automation, but by intelligence that amplifies human decision-making.
