Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has completed the delivery of its 2011-built Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier Jag Aarati to the buyers, following the conclusion of a sale agreement signed in the third quarter of FY26.

With this divestment, the company’s owned fleet now stands at 39 vessels with an aggregate capacity of around 3.14 million deadweight tonnes (dwt). The fleet comprises 26 tankers— including five crude tankers, 16 product tankers and five LPG carriers—alongside 13 dry bulk carriers, made up of two Capesize, nine Kamsarmax and two Supramax vessels.

GE Shipping said it continues to actively manage its fleet portfolio in line with market conditions and long-term strategy. As part of this ongoing renewal and optimisation exercise, the company has also contracted to acquire one secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier and one secondhand medium-range (MR) tanker. In addition, it has agreed to sell its very large gas carrier (VLGC) Jag Vishnu.

These acquisition and sale transactions are expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of FY26, further reshaping the company’s asset mix across shipping segments.
