Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) has launched the final two Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) — ICGS Ajit and ICGS Aparajit — for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), marking the completion of an eight-vessel series built indigenously under the shipyard’s ongoing patrol vessel programme.

Each vessel weighs around 320 tonnes and is equipped with over 65% indigenous components, underscoring GSL’s commitment to self-reliance in defence manufacturing.

GSL has maintained an impressive production pace, launching 12 vessels since July 2024—an average of one ship every 40 days.

Looking ahead, the shipyard plans to expand its portfolio with the launch of a dredger for a Belgian client, a floating dry dock for a foreign navy, and a next-generation patrol vessel during the current financial year.

Reflecting its strong performance, GSL’s gross revenue has surged from ₹865 crore in 2021–22 to ₹3,190 crore in 2024–25, highlighting its growing presence in both domestic and international shipbuilding markets.
