Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) marked a landmark achievement with the successful berthing of MV SITC ZHI at its container terminal during the morning tide. The vessel, with a draft of 9.20 metres and a Length Overall (LOA) of 171.90 metres, is the deepest-draft container ship ever handled at HDC since its inception.
This milestone underscores HDC’s enhanced marine capabilities and operational efficiency, enabling the port to accommodate larger container vessels and reinforcing its role as a vital gateway for global trade.
The successful handling of MV SITC ZHI stands as a testament to the skill and dedication of HDC’s Marine Department and operational teams, whose expertise made the achievement possible.
HDC continues to invest in upgrading its infrastructure and services to meet the growing demands of international maritime trade, further strengthening its position as a key hub in India’s logistics and supply chain network.
