The Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) is gearing up to strengthen regional trade ties with the introduction of a direct container vessel service to Chittagong, Bangladesh—a long-anticipated move welcomed by the EXIM trade community.
Operated by CJ DARCL and represented in India by Everett India Pvt Ltd, the inaugural vessel is set to dock at HDC on August 30, 2025, marking a significant milestone in cross-border logistics.
Key Benefits of the New Route include streamlined connectivity between India and Bangladesh, reduced turnaround times for cargo shipments, and expanded opportunities for bilateral trade and economic collaboration.
HDC officials are calling on exporters and importers to actively support this strategic initiative, which is expected to elevate the region’s logistics competitiveness and drive growth in maritime commerce.
