Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) announced that its Hazira Liquid Terminal handled 507,276 metric tonnes (0.51 million tonnes) of bulk liquid cargo in August 2025, marking its second highest-ever monthly throughput. The previous record of 0.49 million tonnes was set in October 2021.

In August, the terminal efficiently managed 71 liquid tankers, reaffirming its capability to handle large-scale cargo volumes with consistency and reliability.

An APSEZ spokesperson said the milestone reflects “the trust of customers, the dedication of our teams, and the support of our partners and stakeholders,” adding that Hazira continues to strengthen its role as a key hub for liquid cargo on India’s western coast.

To illustrate the scale, the cargo volume handled is equivalent to the weight of 85,000 adult elephants or more than 2,000 fully loaded Boeing 747 aircraft, highlighting Hazira’s operational capacity.

APSEZ said it remains focused on boosting efficiency, creating value for stakeholders, and supporting India’s expanding trade and logistics ecosystem.
