HSCL dispatches first international shipment of liquid coal tar pitch

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd (HSCL) has dispatched its first international shipment of liquid coal tar pitch from New Mangalore Port, signalling a major step in the company’s global growth plans.

The inaugural 3,600-tonne cargo, destined for the Middle East, was loaded from HSCL’s western terminal at the port—demonstrating the company’s readiness to scale up high-volume exports.

With this move, HSCL has effectively opened a second export gateway on India’s west coast, adding to its established operations at the Haldia terminal in the east. The company said the expanded corridor will strengthen its global supply capabilities and support future international demand.
