India’s Commerce Ministry, through Pharmexcil, will lead a business delegation to four ASEAN nations from March 2-13, targeting pharmaceutical exports amid strong FY24-25 regional performance.

The itinerary spans Yangon (Myanmar) for an India-Myanmar Pharma Conference and B2B meetings on March 2, followed by Phnom Penh (Cambodia) on March 5, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on March 9, and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) on March 12, with regulator discussions and trade body engagements each day.

MAI/EPM funding supports economy airfares: up to ₹45,000 (50%) for zero-export firms and ₹75,000 (80%) for those under ₹75 lakhs turnover, claimable post-return within 15 days.

For maritime logistics, this aligns with 2026 as the ASEAN-India Year of Maritime Cooperation, promising higher container and reefer volumes from Indian ports to Southeast Asia, complementing naval initiatives like INS Sudarshini’s global voyage.
