IndiGo signed an initial agreement with Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), underscoring the airline’s sustained commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities. The partnership will see BIAL allocate approximately 31 acres of land to IndiGo for the development of a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) infrastructure.

This new facility, designed to handle both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, marks a strategic move for IndiGo, aiming to bolster its maintenance capabilities and operational presence at Bangalore Airport.

The agreement outlines a broader collaboration between IndiGo and BIAL, including joint initiatives in network expansion, infrastructure development, and marketing. The partnership reflects a shared strategic intent to enhance aviation infrastructure and firmly establish Bengaluru as a key hub for both domestic and international passenger and air cargo operations. IndiGo currently operates MRO facilities in both Delhi and Bengaluru, making this new expansion a significant step in scaling its in-house maintenance capabilities.
