Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority’s Special Economic Zone (JNPA SEZ) has reported a strong 26.86% year-on-year growth in EXIM container handling for calendar year 2025, underscoring rising trade activity and greater confidence among exporters and importers. The port-based SEZ processed a total of 20,693 TEUs during the year, up from 16,312 TEUs in CY 2024, driven by enhanced logistics efficiency and higher cargo throughput.
JNPA Chairperson Gaurav Dayal attributed the performance to the zone’s robust infrastructure and facilitation services, positioning it as an integrated port ecosystem that supports value creation and seamless supply chains for stakeholders. Spanning 277.38 hectares, with 129.73 hectares leased and 34.16 hectares available, the SEZ currently hosts 11 operational units and one Free Trade Warehousing Zone, fuelling steady industrial expansion. This growth reinforces JNPA SEZ’s stature as a vital trade and logistics hub, bolstered by its strategic port connectivity and industry-friendly policies.
