Kakinada port opens up for Cape vessels

The Kakinada Deep Water Port has opened its berths for Cape vessels. The first call was of the M/V WISDOM OF THE SEA-1 which berthed on August 16, 2018. Having LOA of 292 metres, the vessel carried 1,04,310 tonnes of petcoke on account of Emami Cements.

Capesize vessels facilitate the economics of parcel advantages for importers.

The vessel had Lorvens as steamer agent and Bothra Shipping as handling agent. The port operates a conveyor system that allows fast turnaround of ships.
