Kalyani Cast Tech secures registration for Rs 110 crore Gujarat freight terminal

Kalyani Cast Tech Limited has received registration for the development of a Private Freight Terminal Project at Shivlakha, Bhachau, Kachchh, Gujarat. The Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat, granted the registration vide Letter No. IC/0335/08/2026 dated August 14, 2026, under the Gujarat Integrated Logistics and Logistics Park Policy 2021.

The proposed infrastructure development marks a strategic expansion into logistics and cargo-handling facilities for the company. The project site spans 233,304 square metres near National Highway No-41.

The total project cost stands at Rs 110 crore. Of this amount, Rs 80 crore is classified as eligible project cost, which qualifies for financial assistance or subsidy subject to prescribed eligibility conditions, with land costs excluded from the eligible portion.

The registration is provisional and contingent upon adherence to the terms of Government Resolution No. GID-102021-560-I-1 dated July 31, 2021. Key conditions include obtaining all necessary environmental and statutory clearances, submitting third-party quality assurance certificates with each subsidy claim, and including essential infrastructure such as internal roads, power substations, water distribution and sewage facilities. Incentives availed under this scheme preclude eligibility for other state government schemes for the same project, though central government assistance remains permissible provided total aid does not exceed 60% of the eligible project cost.

The project follows Kalyani Cast Tech subsidiary KMT Engineering Private Limited’s earlier commissioning of a Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal at the same Shivlakha location in August 2026, part of the company’s broader push to build direct rail connectivity and diversify its logistics infrastructure at the site.
