Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) has created history by handling 60,708 TEUs in October 2025 — its highest-ever monthly throughput since inception and the first time crossing the 60,000 TEU milestone.

The landmark achievement highlights KICT’s growing operational efficiency, robust infrastructure, and the spirit of collaboration that defines its ecosystem. This record performance was made possible through the steadfast support of the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), along with the continued trust and cooperation of shipping lines, customers, trade partners, vendors, and service providers.

Lauding the achievement, the Deendayal Port Authority Chairman commended the dedication and teamwork demonstrated by the KICT family in setting new operational benchmarks and strengthening Kandla’s position as a premier container hub on India’s west coast.

In a statement, KICT management extended heartfelt appreciation to DPA for its guidance and facilitation, while also thanking all stakeholders for their confidence and collaboration. “This milestone is a true reflection of collective effort — from our on-ground operations crew and planning teams to the leadership continuously driving innovation and excellence,” the statement read.

Building on this record-breaking month, KICT reaffirmed its commitment to operational excellence, customer-centric service, and sustainable growth. The terminal aims to further strengthen partnerships and continue delivering high-performance logistics solutions in the months ahead.
