Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) has achieved its fastest-ever cargo handling milestone, crossing 4 million tonnes (MMT) in FY2025–26 on 27 August 2025.

The terminal reached the mark more than two months earlier than last year, when it crossed the same threshold on 31 October 2024. The performance underscores KICT’s improving efficiency, precision, and operational reliability at Deendayal Port.

Officials credited the record-breaking achievement to seamless teamwork, customer confidence, and strong coordination with stakeholders across the logistics chain.

“Crossing 4 MMT in record time is a proud moment for us and reflects our focus on speed, reliability, and innovation. We thank our teams, partners, and clients for their continued trust and support,” KICT said in a statement.

The milestone further strengthens Deendayal Port’s position as a leading hub for India’s maritime trade and establishes KICT as a frontrunner in handling rising cargo volumes with efficiency.
