KTZ Express, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), has successfully executed a pilot export shipment of Kazakh broken rice to Antwerp Port in Belgium using the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). This multimodal operation highlights Kazakhstan’s growing role in efficient Eurasian logistics.
The shipment followed the Kyzylorda-Aktau Port-Poti Port-Antwerp route, combining rail across the Caspian and Black Seas with sea transport. CMA CGM Group handled the maritime leg from Poti to Antwerp, replacing the previous Northern Corridor land route via Semiglaviy Mar, Brest, and Duisburg.
Transit time matches the old path at about 30 days, but costs are lower, optimizing delivery for Kazakh exporters.
TITR, or the Middle Corridor, links China to Europe through Kazakhstan, Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, boosting trade efficiency. KTZ Express offers full logistics including multimodal routes, containers, warehousing, and digital platforms, supporting Kazakhstan’s export diversification.
