L&T commits Rs 18,600 crore to Tamil Nadu, creating 8,200 jobs across three projects

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed a Rs 18,600 crore Memorandum of Understanding with Tamil Nadu for three major industrial projects in data centres, electronics manufacturing and shipbuilding, marking the first industrial-sector MoU since Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s government took office.

The investments will create 8,200 jobs through three key projects:

The MoU was signed at the Secretariat by L&T Chairman and Managing Director S.N. Subrahmanyan and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, in the presence of Industries Minister S. Keerthana, Chief Secretary M. Saikumar and top officials.

L&T’s investments support Tamil Nadu’s goal of expanding its economy to $1.5 trillion by 2036 through industrial growth, infrastructure development and employment generation.
