M Angamuthu is the new Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Authority

The government has named M Angamuthu as the new Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Authority for a five-year term.

Angamuthu, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, of the Assam Meghalaya cadre, is currently the Chairman of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority or APEDA, attached to the Department of Commerce.

Visakhapatnam Port Authority runs the port located at Visakhapatnam – one of the 12 ports owned by the Central government.
