Maersk appoints Navneet Kapoor as Head of Global Service Centres

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Maersk GSC today announced the appointment of Navneet Kapoor as the Head of its global business. In his new role, Navneet will manage and grow the business while ensuring its long-term success and profitability. Navneet will replace Soren K Brandt, who is moving back to Maersk Headquarter in Copenhagen to be the new Head of Portfolio & Projects in the Transport and Logistics IT organisation.
Navneet joins Maersk GSC from Target India where he was the President and Managing Director, and Chairman of the Target India Board. As a member of the senior leadership team at Target, Navneet was closely involved in helping the company with its digital transformation journey. He also championed Target’s partnership with start-ups in India through the Target Accelerator Program that he helped set up in 2014.

Navneet has also chaired the Global In-house Centres National Council and has been an Executive Council member of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the trade association of Indian companies in the IT and BPO industries.

Prior to joining Target, Navneet served as Vice President – Marketing for GE’s commercial finance business in Asia. He spent about 10 years with GE in New York, Bangkok, Tokyo and Gurgaon, in a variety of roles spanning across research and development, operations and quality, and marketing.

Navneet has PhD (Chemical Engineering) and MS (Electrical Engineering) degrees from the University of Minnesota in the US, an MBA from the University of Chicago in the US, and a bachelor’s degree (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Kanpur in India. He has also written research articles in journals published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
