After a meeting between senior state officials and Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, the indefinite strike that some Maharashtra transporters had started has been temporarily cancelled until July 30. A truck owner who was a member of the protesting carriers’ group claims that the state administration has consented to meet about 80% of their demands. By the end of the month, a formal government resolution resolving the outstanding issues is anticipated.

According to reports, the administration formed a high-level committee to investigate the complaints in an effort to strategically defuse the walkout. Following this action, many truck and tempo operators, as well as a number of significant associations, withdrew their support for the strike, including the Luxury Bus Association and the School Bus Owners and Operators Association. Consequently, the strike progressively lost its force and impetus.
