The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) have expanded their joint IPAK service, adding the Port of Sines in Portugal to the northbound rotation, according to data from DynaLiners. The enhancement further deepens trade links between Europe and the Indian Subcontinent.
The revised port rotation now includes Sines, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Le Havre, London Gateway, Port Louis, Port Reunion, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, and Karachi before returning to Sines.
By incorporating Sines—a key Atlantic transshipment and gateway hub—the partners aim to improve schedule flexibility, shorten transit times, and broaden network coverage for shippers moving cargo between South Asia and Northern Europe.
The addition also enhances MSC’s European network efficiency, positioning Sines as a strategic node within its global liner portfolio and strengthening Portugal’s role in intercontinental trade corridors connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe.
