Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has achieved yet another milestone in automotive logistics, with its Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) operations at Mundra Port setting a new record for vehicle loading. On September 26, 2025, the Mundra RORO team successfully loaded 5,612 cars onto a single vessel in just under 40 hours—surpassing its own previous record of 5,405 cars established in June 2022.
Remarkably, this latest achievement was executed with the same 141 Ground Handling Resources (GHRs), underscoring the team’s consistent efficiency, precision, and ability to optimize resources. The accomplishment highlights Mundra Port’s capability to handle large-scale automotive cargo while maintaining high operational standards.
The record-breaking operation reflects not only APSEZ’s growing role in India’s automotive export chain but also its focus on driving excellence through process innovation and meticulous planning. The smooth coordination between multiple stakeholders—from port operators and shipping line representatives to ground staff and logistics teams—was key to the success.
“This new benchmark is a testament to the dedication, discipline, and teamwork of our Mundra RORO operations team,” an APSEZ spokesperson said. “We are proud of their relentless pursuit of operational excellence, which continues to position Mundra as India’s premier automotive export hub.”
With this achievement, APSEZ has reinforced Mundra Port’s reputation as the gateway of choice for global auto majors seeking speed, scale, and reliability in their supply chain. The milestone also aligns with APSEZ’s broader mission of enhancing efficiency across its ports and terminals, ensuring world-class service for customers across industries.
