Nimble Legal, the UAE‑founded boutique international law firm, is marking its tenth anniversary with a significant milestone: the opening of its first Indian office in Mumbai and the addition of senior practitioners across its maritime, trade, and private wealth practices.
Nimble Legal has spent the past decade building a reputation for reliability, technical excellence, and deep sector expertise. The firm’s blue‑chip clients recognise its ability to deliver agile, commercially grounded solutions in complex cross‑border matters.
“From the outset, we prioritised stability over rapid expansion,” said Hari Krishna, Founder of Nimble Legal. “That approach earned the trust of clients who rely on us for long‑term support. As we enter our second decade, we are ready to grow — in capability, in maturity, and in the sophistication of the services we offer.”
Expansion Into India
As part of its next phase of growth, Nimble Legal has launched its first Indian office in Mumbai, led by two highly regarded practitioners:
- Priyanka Patel, Managing Partner of Nimble Legal LLP in Mumbai, brings more than 15 years of experience in maritime and customs law before the Indian courts. She holds an LLM in International Maritime Law from the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law at Swansea University.
“Nimble Legal’s entry into India comes at a moment when the country’s maritime and trade landscape is evolving rapidly,” said Priyanka Patel. “I am delighted to help build a practice that combines international standards with deep local insight, and to contribute to a firm that places such a premium on client trust and long‑term relationships.”
- Abhimanyu Singh, Partner, strengthens the firm’s international maritime law practice. A graduate of Tulane University School of Law, he brings two decades of experience in maritime law and commercial arbitration in India, joining fellow Tulane alumni Sushmita Chowdhury and Hari Krishna.
“What drew me to Nimble Legal is its clarity of purpose,” said Abhimanyu Singh. “Hari and I have known each other for over twenty years, and we have always shared a similar approach to maritime practice — practical, commercially focused, and grounded in integrity. Joining Nimble Legal feels like a natural extension of that long‑standing professional alignment, and I look forward to helping expand the firm’s capabilities in India and beyond.”
Strengthening the Private Wealth Practice
The firm has also expanded its private wealth offering with the appointment of:
- Vivek Nittala, Of Counsel, who leads Nimble Legal’s growing private wealth practice. Vivek is a law graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of STEP, bringing multidisciplinary expertise to clients navigating complex asset, succession, and investment structures.
“Clients today expect advisors who can bridge legal, financial, and structural considerations seamlessly,” said Vivek Nittala. “Nimble Legal’s approach aligns perfectly with that expectation. I am excited to help build a private wealth practice that is sophisticated, responsive, and truly global in its outlook.”
Together, these appointments reflect Nimble Legal’s broader strategy of deepening its capabilities across the sectors that matter most to its clients. The firm is expanding into complementary practice areas while remaining firmly anchored in its core focus on international trade and logistics across the energy and non‑energy sectors, and on the people and businesses driving global commerce.
“There is more to come,” added Krishna. “Our next decade will be defined by thoughtful expansion, deeper sector specialisation, and an unwavering commitment to the clients who have placed their trust in us.”
